The Hire & Rental Industry Association (HRIA) of Australia has declared Nifty’s HeightRider 17 Hybrid 4×4 50ft self-propelled boom as its best new product of the year at its annual convention on Queensland’s Gold Coast this week.
The Nifty HeightRider 17 Hybrid 4×4 or HR17 beat off competition from a wide range of general rental equipment from hand tools to portable toilets, telehandlers and access equipment.
The Height Rider 17 4-wheel-drive (HR17 4×4) offers one of the most impressive working envelopes in its class.
Its compact base allows it to manoeuvre easily in enclosed spaces and its extremely low overall weight helps to minimise transportation costs.
The HR17 4×4’s 1.8m wide ToughCage offers more space for materials and tools and a 150° fly-boom with 180° cage rotation increases accuracy when positioning the cage. The tough, impact-resistant composite base and larger cross-section steel rails of the ToughCage also give additional strength and durability, while the multi award winning SiOPS® provides additional operator protection.
The HR17 4×4 is available with two power options, Diesel-only or Hybrid power:
The Diesel-only option incorporates a versatile and efficient TIER IV compliant engine to deliver maximum traction and gradeability, making it ideal for rough or uneven ground.
The Hybrid option incorporates a smaller, power-optimised TIER IV compliant engine supported by the machine’s battery pack for when extra power is needed. This maintains power and performance while reducing fuel consumption for maximum efficiency. The Innovative ‘Diesel Re-Gen’ feature also recharges the batteries without a mains power source, giving a ‘fast-charge’ whenever the machine is idle and the engine running. In addition, an electric-only mode allows zero-emission operation, making it ideal for indoor use, or for quiet, clean operation.
Both power options include Niftylift’s advanced exhaust purification system, which greatly reduces Carbon Monoxide, Hydrocarbon and particulate emissions making either an environmentally conscious choice.
